Environmental Program Coordinator — Cape Breton / Canso / Antigonish (Summer)

The Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia is hiring an Environmental Program Coordinator for the Cape Breton–Canso–Antigonish region. This is a full-time, 8-week Canada Summer Job position (starting June 29, 2026) at $17.50/hour, with remote/hybrid work and some travel to meetings.

The role focuses on regional work in climate resilience, food systems, coastal climate impacts, land stewardship, and youth engagement. You’ll conduct community pulse checks, support local dialogues and gatherings, keep evaluation data organized to inform future decisions, share stories in accessible written formats, work with digital tools, and collaborate respectfully with diverse communities. The position includes one-on-one mentoring from the Executive Director.

Eligibility: ages 15–30 at start of employment; Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection; valid SIN; legally entitled to work in Canada.
