Environmental Program Coordinator — Cumberland / Colchester (Summer)
The Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia is hiring an Environmental Program Coordinator for the Cumberland–Colchester region. This is a full-time, 8-week Canada Summer Job position (starting June 29, 2026) at $17.50/hour plus expenses, with remote/hybrid work and some travel to meetings.
The role supports climate-resilient farming, green jobs, food security, and rural prosperity in Cumberland–Colchester. You’ll learn to listen to and document community feedback, support gatherings and planning sessions, track outcomes for learning and reporting, work behind the scenes on engagements, write short stories and posts about community-led work, use digital tools to stay organized, and reflect on your learning through regular mentoring with the Executive Director.
Eligibility: ages 15–30 at start of employment; Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection; valid SIN; legally entitled to work in Canada.
