Multi-Media Researcher / Archivist (Summer)
The Black Cultural Centre for Nova Scotia is hiring a Multi-Media Researcher / Archivist for the summer of 2026. This is a full-time, 8–12 week position based in Cherry Brook, Nova Scotia, at 35 hours/week and $17.00/hour.
Work includes developing multimedia content (video, audio, animated graphics) that promotes and protects Black history and culture; digitizing records and artifacts; supporting virtual exhibits and online programs; gathering oral and community histories from Black communities across Canada; and supporting museum operations alongside the program team.
Qualifications: returning college or university student aged 16–30; general knowledge and interest in African Nova Scotian history; video and photography knowledge; digital graphics skills (Photography, Photoshop, etc.); video and audio editing skills; good written and verbal communication; basic Microsoft Office. French is an asset.
