“The Jungle is stronger than the elephant.”
-African Proverb
Good evening everyONE,
Statistics Canada is now recruiting for approximately 32,000 temporary (5-month) positions to support the 2026 Census of Population; one of the largest data-collection initiatives in the country. These roles span both supervisory and non-supervisory field positions, including enumerators and crew leaders, and the chance to gain meaningful work experience.
Employment includes competitive hourly pay of $25.87 per hour for enumerators and $31.32 per hour for crew leaders, as well as authorized expenses such as mileage and parking. Census workers play a vital role in gathering high-quality demographic, social, and economic information that helps shape federal, provincial, and municipal planning.
Staff will work directly with the public, often conducting in-person, door-to-door visits to collect completed questionnaires that help ensure every community is accurately represented.
The data collected will inform decisions on community services ranging from healthcare and education to housing and transportation. Submit your application for this short-term employment opportunity to earn income, refine your interpersonal skills, and make a tangible impact.
