Good evening everyONE,
Mark your calendars for the Halifax Career Fair & Training Expo, happening on November 5th, 2025! This is one of Nova Scotia’s most anticipated employment and professional development events.
Whether you’re a recent graduate, a skilled tradesperson, an experienced professional, or someone exploring a fresh start, this expo is your chance to connect directly with employers who are looking to hire.
Among the confirmed exhibitors are Commissionaires Nova Scotia, NPower Canada, and the Government of Canada. These employers are recruiting for a wide range of roles in public service, administration, transit, and community support. Dozens of additional companies and training providers will be on-site, allowing attendees to learn about a variety of pathways, as well as access training programs that build qualifications.
This expo offers the chance to speak one-on-one with hiring managers, submit résumés on the spot, and discover real opportunities in Halifax’s growing labour market. The job fair will be held at the Halifax Convention Centre, 1650 Argyle Street, in the Argyle Suite. Come prepared, dress to impress, and take a positive next step toward your future!

Attendees will engage in an evidence-based discussion, with an optional guided movement session to demonstrate practical strategies for incorporating exercise into healing and recovery. FREE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORTS
The Halifax Maternal Wellness Program is a new Halifax-wide initiative that supports mothers, birthing people and families during pregnancy, the postpartum and early parenthood. It’s completely free and offers: family, couples and perinatal counselling sessions, Mom-to-Mom Support Circle, a 6-week maternal wellness program twice a year, and information resources for new parents, partners and caregivers. African Nova Scotian and Black youth across Canada deserve mental health and well-being support informed by their rich cultures and diverse lived experiences. RiseUp powered by Kids Help Phone is a national, 24/7, bilingual E-Mental Health Support Service for Black youth. The service is free and available from coast to coast to coast. The North End Community Health Centre offers mental health services through their PAUSE Mental Health program. They are open from 5 pm to 8 pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays for over the phone appointments, and Wednesday’s for in-person appointments at 2131 Gottingen Street. Please call their toll free number (1-800-598-5270) at any time, and leave your name and phone number to be matched with a therapist.
