Analyst, Geospatial and Information Management
The Canada–Nova Scotia Offshore Energy Regulator (CNSOER) is hiring an Analyst, Geospatial and Information Management for a hybrid position based in Dartmouth. The role is responsible for the management, analysis, visualization and dissemination of geospatial information supporting the regulator’s programs, regulatory activities and information management initiatives — spatial modelling and mapping in Esri ArcGIS Pro, building dashboards, web applications and reports, geodatabase design and administration, metadata and data quality assurance, and support for enterprise data governance.
Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Information Management or Computer Science supplemented by a post-graduate diploma or advanced certificate in GIS, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus three to five years of relevant experience. Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise is required, along with a strong understanding of geodatabase design, relational databases, SQL and records management. Knowledge of Python and JavaScript is considered an asset.
Salary: Compensation is commensurate with qualifications.
