The Government of Nova Scotia (Department of Opportunities and Social Development) is hiring Child Protection Social Workers for its Consolidated Allegations Investigation Team (CAIT). In this vital role you will assess child safety and wellbeing, support families, supervise children in care, and collaborate with communities and justice partners under the Children and Family Services Act.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Social Work (or equivalent), is eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers, and brings sound judgment, strong assessment skills, and the ability to work sensitively with families and communities. This is a term position.

Salary: $2,848.71–$3,983.72 bi-weekly, with benefits including health, dental, pension, paid vacation, and professional development.

Designation: This opportunity is designated for applicants who identify as African/Black Nova Scotian and other Racialized Persons.
