Justice Navigator
The African Nova Scotian Justice Institute (ANSJI) is hiring a Justice Navigator for a full-time position in Halifax. The role provides culturally grounded navigation, advocacy and case support for African Nova Scotian and Black clients involved with or affected by the justice system. Justice Navigators assist individuals aged 12 and older, focusing on preventing recidivism and helping clients navigate criminal law, family and child welfare, mental health, addictions and social justice matters.
ANSJI is a non-profit advocacy organization providing free legal services and guidance to African Nova Scotians and Black people of African descent living in Nova Scotia.
Salary: $60,000–$85,000 annually, with benefits including paid time off, dental care, extended health coverage, RRSP matching and flexible scheduling.
Designation: This opportunity is designated for applicants who identify as African Nova Scotian or a Black person of African descent.
