Our expert-led, equity, diversity, and incluson (EDI) workshops are designed to create a more inclusive workspace by empowering team members with the tools to practice allyship and generate an understanding of the core values of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Rebekah Skeete
Rebekah Skeete, MSW, RSW has developed and delivered equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) workshops and training for over 20 years. Rebekah taught the Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Program at Dalhousie Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development, along with other courses related to EDI and career development for several years.
Rebekah is a Clinical Social Worker with specialization in trauma-informed care, who provides one-on-one and group counselling to children, youth, and families. She has supported children, youth and adults experiencing crisis because of trauma for over 15 years. She has supported and provided training to Mental Health Champions within the Nova Scotia Works Employment Service Centres system, and she has provided trauma-informed care training to crisis workers.
Rebekah has worked in the employment industry for more than 25 years and she is a co-director with the YMCA Nova Scotia Works Employment Services Centres. In addition, Rebekah oversees several specialized employment programs that supports both job seekers and employers. Rebekah was the Lead Competency Assessor for the Nova Scotia Career Development Association’s certification program when certification was first implemented, and is she is the first Certified Career Development Practitioners in Nova Scotia.

Angela Simmons
Angela inspires courageous leadership and guides others in realizing their potential through her extensive experience in law, business, and advocacy. Driven by a commitment to create impact and social change, she helps organizations and individuals reach their full potential by focusing on building inclusive equitable organizations, fostering critical thinking and intentional leadership, and equipping teams with strategies to recognize the importance of healthy relationships and reduce workplace harm through her training programs.
Angela is proud to be a wife, mother of three, and “little” Nanny to two. In her free time, Angela can be found playing in the pool with her grandkids or hanging out with her family who have always supported her purpose. Angela believes in lifelong learning, when you are learning, you influence opportunities for teaching, and teaching transforms lives.
