The Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission is looking for a Human Rights Officer (Intake) to assess and resolve human rights inquiries and support people through the complaint process.
The role involves intake assessments, drafting complaints, managing case files and deciding whether concerns meet the criteria of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Act. You will work with equity seeking communities while staying neutral and keeping information confidential.
This is a term position in Halifax (anticipated end date October 12, 2027). Pay ranges from $1,946.91 to $3,547.06 bi-weekly, with government benefits. The position is designated for African Nova Scotians, Indigenous Peoples, People of African Descent and/or Racialized People.
